Our design process is a respectful and close collaboration between architect, client, consultants and contractors. Every architectural project is unique and our design response is formed by our clients’ needs and ideas together with the opportunities presented by each site.
The practice aims to design honest, timeless, elegant, individual and energy efficient buildings that not only exceed client expectations but sympathetically address the urban issues associated with their location and history.

PrincipalILARIO G. CORTESE B.ARCH (MELBOURNE) R.A.I.A. Ilario Cortese graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1977 and has continually practiced Architecture for over 40 years. He is registered by the Architects Registration Board (Vic) and has been a Juror for the R.A.I.A. awards.

SHENG YI YU B.ARCH (DEAKIN)
Sheng Yi Yu graduated from Deakin University in 1982. Upon graduation, he practiced architecture in Malaysia and joined the Practice in 1998. Highly experienced, he leads the team in Design Development and Documentation of our projects.

NICOLE VICARY B.ARCH (DEAKIN)
Nicole Vicary graduated from Deakin University in 1999. After gaining valuable design and documentation experience in several Melbourne firms, she joined the Practice in 2006. Nicole is a highly talented and experienced architect in Architectural and Interior Design.

RICHARD WAPLES B.DESIGN (SOUTH AUSTRALIA)
Since graduating from University of South Australia in 1994, Richard has practiced architecture in Adelaide and Melbourne. He joined the Practice in 2009 and has extensive experience in all aspects of Contemporary and Interior Design.

YEW JIN FONG B.ARCH (CURTIN)
Yew Jin Fong graduated from Curtin University in 2000 and had worked as a lecturer and as an architect in Malaysia after graduation. Since joining the Practice in 2006, he has gained substantial experience in design and documentation in both Architecture and Interior Design.

Having completed his Bachelor Degree in 2018, Christian is currently undertaking a Master of Architecture at Monash University. He is passionate about improving the built environment and using digital modelling software throughout the design process. |
